Oh, Baby!

Posted: August 8, 2014 in Uncategorized

So, life just got a whole lot crazier thanks to that tiny blip up there.

Yup, Baby #2 is on it’s way!

Between a full time job, homeschooling the Princess and trying to finish my third novel, I have to say that a new baby was the last thing I expected. I had all of these visions of time to myself, binge-watching Saved By the Bell while the little one was at school. . . they’ve now been blurred by morning sickness and extreme fatigue. :/

In times like this, when life just seems all mixed up and crazy, I have to remind myself that God knows what He’s doing.  Even though I don’t even have a full chapter of Broken finished nor do I have everything done for school that I need to, I have to remain calm in the fact that everything will be okay.

Accepting prayers for a healthy baby, a successful school year and a finished novel (or 2). 😉

Happy writing everyone. . .me and this kiddo are off to bed.

The Sunday Seven

I’m squeezing in a super quick Sunday Seven tonight…school starts on Tuesday and I’ve got to get my classes together. EEK. So, here we go:

1. I got confirmation this week that I am doing my very first Author event in November. It will be a book signing/local author event in Texarkana called the Fall Gathering of Authors. I’m super excited/nervous about it; it should be lots of fun.

2. I have had a breakthrough with my writing! I’ve been churning out pages left and right for Destined as well as outlined my next two (un-Trusted-related) novels. 🙂

3. My counselor (hi Ben!) has challenged me this week to tell two people about my book. I mentioned in a previous post how crazy difficult this has been for me, but I’m going to give it a shot. Say a little prayer for me. 😉

4. I have been exercising with the hubby. Ugh. This .gif pretty much sums up the torture experience:

5. I’m over halfway through with a ladies Bible study that has really been awesome. I strongly encourage everyone to get the One in a Million study by Priscilla Shrirer. It’s been refreshing.

6. I got to enjoy a wonderful weekend with my family. 🙂 We played a family game of basketball, which was great…minus the time I went to block a shot from my brother and his sweat actually touched me:

7. It’s officially Fall at my house. No, not weather-wise, but all of the decor is up. 🙂 My favorite time of year.

Hope you all have a wonderful Labor Day Weekend!! 🙂

Until next time. . .

So, basically for the past two weeks I have felt like this:

It seems like there are a million different things on my plate and I haven’t been able to zero in and accomplish any of them. Writing has been on the back burner as has housework, CR, and every other invaluable thing. Why? I’m still trying to figure that out.

Praying that I can get back on track this week. Here’s to clean houses, thousands of words written, and clear minds. Here, here!

Hope you all have a productive week as well!

Until next time. . .

Baby Got Book

Posted: June 21, 2013 in Uncategorized

I got an email this morning from a wonderful friend of mine. There was a picture attached to this email of… well… just take a look:

SQUEEEE! That’s my friend Leta (whom I met on Goodreads) holding my book! I couldn’t be more thrilled to see her holding it and am so pumped that she shared this picture. Leta was one of the first people I was brave enough to show the first draft of Trusted to and she has been such an encourager the entire journey. I can still remember timid little me attaching the first draft to an email, praying she didn’t reply with:

Thankfully, she (along with some other helpful ladies) embraced the idea and helped me to make the book much better than it started out.

Thank you again, Leta! And thanks so, so much for sharing the picture. It feels like everything has come full circle.

Makes me want to hold my book up like this:

🙂  Thanks again, and don’t forget everyone…Trusted for Kindle is FREE this weekend!

Until next time. . .
