What inspired you to write a book?
I have always loved to write. I have also always been very insecure about it. It wasn’t until December 2012 that I really picked up pen and paper and got back at it. Basically, I kind of quit writing for enjoyment after high school (college essays just suck the fun right out of writing, ya know?) and found a passion for it again just recently. It was a combination of an answered prayer, motivation from my daughter’s wealth of creativity, and undying encouragement from my husband that actually led me to publish Trusted. Honestly, I didn’t believe in myself at first, but I just kept at. Now, I have a published book and it has truly been a dream come true.
What are some of your favorite things?
Hmm, I have a lot of favorite things. Here are a few of them in a fairly random order: my husband, my kiddo, my family, church, glitter, newborn puppies, daisies, sour cream (because daisies reminded me of it), Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos from Taco Bell (because sour cream reminded me of them), Beefy Crunch Burritos, anything made of chocolate, beaches, hammocks, books, seeing my name on the front of a book, pine trees, weeping willows, Temple Run, the ’80’s, Silly String, Skip-It, board games, glitter, Hawaiian breeze candles, log cabins, welcome mats, libraries, Diet Dr. Pepper, fireplaces, lofts, surprise parties, pedicures, Phineas and Ferb, music, pajama pants and pony tails (they must go together), dolphins, cruises, pictures, trampolines, glitter, my Google Nexus phone, coloring books, new crayons, freckles, Sonic ice, road trips, new pillows, clean sheets, hotels, sunshine, fishing, coasters, glitter, small groups, picture frames, crock pots, a clean house, eating out, etc., etc., etc….did I mention glitter?
